Then I do the crafting quests to grind up faction with the Survival Accord, Grobb, and Tupta so I can nab their recipe books. I make sure I do the crafting quests in Moors of Ykesha, starting with Ship Out. And since the Tradeskill Questline mixes harvesting, crafting, and Fed-Ex type quests, there's variety. I've had to occasionally do a couple of writs to get to the level I need to be for The Next Guy to give me the quest, but that's minor. I have found that, for me (YMMV) doing all the Tradeskill Quests is a lot less tedious than writ grinding. Oh, but the best crafting rewards for AoM come from the daily/weekly quests and you can't get those until you do the crafting timeline up to the point where you earn the ring anyways. However, it isn't like you need the ring to level. Getting that as soon as you hit 95 is preferable so you can use it to help you get to 100. The big reward from that is a ring that gives +20% crafting xp. I'd recommend using xp potions if you have any you can /claim, or have any from the tradeskill apprentice.ĭoing the AoM quest line is a good break from grinding writs. I believe it takes about 30 writs to make 1 level for your first crafter, so about 5 times as much effort as it took you to get to 95. ”To answer your actual question: 96-100 take more xp than previous levels. This is my 1st level 95 crafter so I don't know if this is normal or not, if it is, so be it. ![]() ↑ “ Is it me or does crafting seem to come to a screeching halt at level 95? I would get almost a level from Tayloring rush orders and now, I'm just barely getting 10% with Vitality. Once you reach the Phantom Sea you need to be a bit careful about where you fly as the inhabitants of Ghorkaal are unfriendly and like to shoot the unwary out of the sky but again with trial and error you can find safe flying routes. I've only died with my lowbies when I have got a bit overconfident! You still have to keep your eyes open but it is possible to do those quests without deaths. It's reasonably safe there from the aggro mobs in the air which are the ones most likely to kill the unwary. Head left again towards the coast until you reach the passage between the rocky outcrops whcih takes you to the tower. You can then head straight across between the aggro mobs until you reach the rocky area surrounding the tower. When you leave the safe area hug the wall to your left until you come to the end of it by a couple of trees. There is a reasonably safe path from the safe area to the tower. The most challenging quests for me were tagging mobs and collecting items around the tower itself. Nothing aggro in that area - the aggro mobs are along the path and around Malvonicus' tower. Not long after you fly over the second jetty you'll fall into the sea - just swim to land and run around hugging the coast line until you can cut across safely to the steps. To get to the safe area - from the jetty you arrive at fly off to the left over the sea (but not too far out). It is possible to do the questline at lower levels but you do have to be careful.
